About Katt's Closet

A collaborative community space and tour provider

We are located in the Historic Old Blaisdell Hotel. Built in 1912, it houses one of only two remaining working, manually operated elevators in the United States. The other is in San Francisco. Our space is accommodating enough to host 30 guests for our live, in-house performances and up to 40 for private functions. We have been in the building for over 15 years and strive to support the economic development and revitalization historic Honolulu Chinatown.

To this end, we host weekly historical tours of Chinatown's 1940's redlight district. See Tours for pricing and more info.

Katt's Closet mission is to provide a safe, secure and supportive environment for all people to experience performance art and particularly Burlesque. Holding weekly open classes and producing "the Monthly" burlesque variety show showcases Hawaii's multi-talented performer community.

Your discretion is assured with our private transformation services for anyone who wants to dress up as someone other than themselves.

We curate and sell vintage clothes & goods acquired here in Hawaii and abroad in our vintage shop and at Art & Flea. You can also make an appointment for a private shopping experience.

Finally, Miranda Katt is an ordained minister and can perform your dream Hawaiian wedding complete with legal filing of the marriage license.
